about

This is the second full length album by George Mavridis in which he experiments with Moog analogue synthesizers and the lyra, a three string bowed instrument from Greece.

The Moog synthesizers provide the core chord progressions and the atmosphere of each composition on top of which the composer layers the lyra as if it was performing in a string quartet made of different lyras. The recording of the lyras where based more on improvisation than logical structures of musical composition.

There has been plenty of space left intentionally empty so that the listener participates in a medidative kind of way and interacts with the music.

In a time full of noise, sounds, machines and other stimuli that we are facing every day this album invites the listener to dive deep into his own self, with kindness and simplicity.
